Drawn in illustrator. Highlights and shadows done in photoshop.
I haven’t done an Illo Friday submission for a long time. I’ve been so wrapped up in my comic strip, and then there was also my recent computer issues. But today I sat down and felt inspired to take part. So I guess because everthing has revolved around computers for me lately, when I read “Save” my mind went straight to the “portable” storage devices I’ve used over the years. And I decided to draw them in this “realistic” style which I love to do, but haven’t done in ages.
So there you have it. I wonder what will come next?

I Love it!!! Ahhh the memories… I used to play Oregon Trail on a huge ass clunker of a ‘puter with a true floppy wayyyy back in Jr. High!
This is wonderful, they are a very big part of my life as well. Great illustration
Wow, impressive illustration for this week’s topic!
Luna: Yeah our first computer when I was a kid only used 5 and 1/4 inch floppy disks and it was the B:\ drive. I remember when we got a computer with a 3½ inch floppy. It was like WOW.
Sandra and Johnne: Thank you so much!
The CD looks amazing! I’d think it was real!
