Spring hasn’t really hit Stockholm yet. There’s still quite a bit of snow on the ground, and we’re still getting some snowfall too. Spring, here, is marked by Valborg, a holiday celebrated in Sweden. Every April 31st, Valborgsafton (Walpurgis Eve in English, I believe), massive bonfires are lit all over the country. It’s supposedely done to ward off evil spirits. This day marks the beginning of spring for most. And Swedish weather usually seems to abide to it as well.
